PI: Dr Chris Mahony

Dr Chris Mahony’s research combines data science and immunology to improve the treatment of Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or IBD. Dr Mahony trained at the Universities of Aberdeen, Geneva and Birmingham and moved to Glasgow as a Lecturer in 2025. He uses his experience in data science and immunology to identify age related dysfunction in fibroblasts and understand how this drives Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases to identify novel therapeutic targets.
